In the past decade, mudrooms have become a common and important element for homeowners. Usually set up near a secondary entrance, mudrooms are used by family members and can see a lot of traffic. Two key elements of mudrooms, therefore, are durable materials and good storage. Often older homes do not have dedicated mudrooms near garages or side doors. Therefore, the challenge for the KitchenVisions team is to reconfigure existing square footage to accommodate the desired mudroom. In new construction or additions, mudrooms are almost always included in the design plans.
