Our Designers...

This is a collaborative effort. But before you invite us into your home, a little more about us...

JODI SWARTZ, Founder and Principal Designer

A creative soul, Jodi marries her design talents with a desire to create more liveable, inspirational homes for her clients. Every project is unique because each family has its' individual, particular nuances and needs. Whether you are looking for a more functional design, an open floor plan, a chef’s dream, a family gathering spot, or all of the above, she will hear you and ‘deliver the goods.’ Jodi will explore the possibilities and present designs that help you envision what your newly imagined home could be like. Jodi became a Certified Kitchen & Bathroom Designer/Remodeler as well as a Universal Design specialist and space planner after remodeling 11 homes. She followed her creative dream and went on to work at two large design-build showrooms. At the urging of happy clients, she founded KitchenVisions in 2011. Today, her business has grown to include three designers. While Jodi loves creating beautiful interior spaces, her proudest accomplishments are her two daughters, Dana and Nicole… who live much farther away than Jodi would prefer.

MARISSA HEGLIN, Designer & Project Manager
Marissa Heglin boasts a degree in Interior Design from the University of New Haven, but knows that “great design” is in the eye of the beholder. “Every client is different. It’s our job to listen and interpret their vision rather than create a cookie cutter (gasp!) design that won’t fit their family and improve the flow of their home” explains Marissa. “There’s simply nothing more rewarding than a client exclaiming that their new room is even better than they imagined. It’s all about the ‘happiness’ factor when the project is completed." Prior to working at KitchenVisions, Marissa was designing interiors and guiding client decisions at a well-known tile store. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with – teaming up on inspirational design, selections and project management to please their clients.
