The ProjectStory

Transforming this kitchen meant removing a secondary staircase to the second-floor landing. The additional square footage allowed for a full run of lower cabinets and appliances where the stairs were located. A main sink and dishwasher, microwave drawer and coffee station, keep the family in the ‘cold zone’, (the ‘cleanup zone’), versus the range wall and the table/island’s ‘hot-zone’. The cook can now work without much interruption. Open stainless shelving gives the space an updated, industrial feel. The refrigerator became centrally located on the side wall. Deep red appliances from BlueStar, Dekton island counter in Taj Mahal, Absolute Black honed granite countertop and industrial black pendants make this kitchen smokin’ hot!

Upstairs, we took a small nursery and turned it into a large family bath, (the clients had already moved the primary suite to the third floor) and where the existing family bath, servicing four bedrooms was quite small, we closed up the doorway from the hall and created an ensuite bath in the guest room on this floor, delighting guests and family members alike.
